Airfield Safety Officer
The Airfield Safety Officer is responsible for providing guidance and direction for the planning, implementation, and operation of the organization s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Plan on the airfield. The Airfield Safety Manager reports to the Airfield Manager and coordinates Airfield Safety Measures with the Program HSE Manager. Implements airfield safety procedures to ensure a safe operating environment for personnel and aircraft operation. Assist in responding to aircraft and medical emergencies, assists others during emergencies. Manages wildlife on and around airport grounds
Qualifications
Minimum of seven (7) years of specialized HSE experience in Airfield Safety OperationsMust have a minimum of five years of experience working in similar or progressive HSE positions similar in scope and responsibility as detailed above on either an AFCAP or LOGCAP program in the Middle East or Africa.
Certifications /Education
Bachelor s Degree in Airfield Safety ManagementMust be a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Safety Manager (CSM) and/or NEBOSH equivalent certification required as specified by the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE)
