Fire Chief
Responsible for Fire Station daily operations to ensure personnel are well-trained and capable to perform their duties effectively and on short notice. Select and guide firefighters to perform as expected when called upon and will continually assess their readiness and performance. This assessment will maintain daily awareness of fire inspections, fire services, inspection and testing of fire protection and alarm systems, firefighter training, and fire drills. Responsible for completing the requirements in the PWS and IAW DOD regulations. Selects and guide firefighters to perform as expected when called upon and will continually assess their readiness and performance. This assessment will maintain daily awareness of fire inspections, fire services, inspection and testing of fire protection and alarm systems, firefighter training, and fire drills. Ensures all fire and rescue incident data is submitted using Fire Incident Reporting System (FIRS) software. FIRS will allow for automatic reporting, and information will be posted on our web site. This will allow 24/7 Government oversight and assist in controlling and scheduling all fire safety inspections, as well as posting fire detection and alarm system operational status, fire discrepancy reports, and daily manning summaries.
Qualifications
Six years experience minimum (ten to twelve years preferred) fire fighting experience in the US Military, DOD or civilian.
Certifications /Education
Bachelor's degree in related field (i.e. Fire Management, etc.).Must have current IFSAC/PROBOARD Fire Fighter II, Hazmat Incident Commander, Fire Officer IV, Fire Inspector III, Fire Instructor II, Fire Fighter - Airport, Fire Fighter I, Fire Fighter II.
