Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Lead)
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day to day execution of the vehicle maintenance shop. Supervises anywhere from 25 to 30 personnel. Working supervisory position. Ensures established policies and procedures are effectively enforced. Controls shop maintenance schedule to ensure maximum utilization of assigned personnel. Reviews work in progress and upon completion for conformance to standards and to insure his / her section maintains the highest standards of workmanship and quality.
Qualifications
Six years combined experience in wheeled and tracked vehicle maintenance at the journeyman level, with at least five years of Supervisory experience. Must understand and be well versed in the performance of organizational, direct and general support maintenance of tactical wheeled and combat (Track) vehicles.
Certifications /Education
High School graduate or equivalentDrivers license - preferably a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
