Ammunition Supervisor

Responsible for the supervision of Vectrus Ammunition and Explosives (A&E) receipt, warehousing, issue, and shipping operations at the LOGCAP ASPs.  Reports directly to the Logistics Department Manager. Monitors receipt processing through the SAAS-MOD, LMP automated systems and coordinates with the AWRDS Technician to ensure assets are recorded in the AWRDS database. Schedules location surveys and inventories at remote sites.  Develops and updates the ASP Storage Plan. Performs appropriate key control and crime prevention procedures to reduce/eliminate potential for theft or loss of A&E. Maintains a complete and updated reference library. Maintains the ASP fire plan and trains personnel in its use. Supervises the inspection, classification, and disposition of A&E including residue at various remote sites. Ensures A&E is stored properly and expeditiously after receipt. Maintains and operates assigned GFE and GFP in a manner to reduce the chance of accidental fire or explosion. Conducts safety training monthly and keeps records of such. Conducts initial onsite training on ASP operating procedures for newly assigned employees within 15 days of arrival at ASP and quarterly refresher training thereafter. Maintains administrative files at ASP. Maintains records of training and provide official copy to the Training Representative. Reports any significant or serious incidents to the Logistics Department Manager immediately. Collects data and provides reports as required by project senior management or the Government IAW AR 55-355, AR 190-11, AR 190-51, DA PAM 385-64 and DOT Regulations.

Qualifications

Must have a working knowledge of U. S. Army ASP Operations, ammunition accounting, receipt, storage, issue, handling, and explosives safety and must be qualified to supervise and train all Contractor ammunition personnel. Must have the following DAC Army Explosives Safety Courses: 1. Ammunition Storage (AMMO-12)2. Introduction to Ammunition (AMMO-45-DL) (completed within past year)3. Preparation and Review of SOPs for Ammunition and Explosives Operations (AMMO-54)4. U.S. Army Explosives Safety (AMMO-63-DL)5. Class V Issue and Turn-In Procedures for Using Units and ASP’s (AMMO-64-DL)6. Military Munitions Rule (MMR) (AMMO-68-DL) (completed within past year). Must have been an E-6 or above or equivalent civilian experience.Will be required to work different shifts as directedMust be able to complete certifications/licensing for Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and have in possession a valid stateside driver’s license. 

Certifications /Education

High school through Associate degree will be accepted or 15 plus years of ammunition logistical procedures in the Army system. -Must be willing and able to complete Vectrus Greenbelt certification. -Must be able to complete certifications/licensing for Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and have in possession a valid  _stateside driver’s license. -Must pass color blindness physical test.
