Technical Inspector
Performs initial, in-progress and final inspections on various types of military, commercial, and other forms of Utilities and Special Purpose equipment, Power-Generation equipment, Quartermaster and Chemical equipment, and Construction equipment. Makes proper classification determinations as it pertains to U.S. Government property. Assists Shops as needed with Troubleshooting processes. Uses proper Test Measurement and Diagnostics Equipment (TMDE) in the daily operations phase. Test and Troubleshoot all forms of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) Systems. Conduct Actual Cost of Damages (ACOD), Estimated Cost of Damages (ECOD), Estimated Cost of Repairs (ECOR) and Estimated Cost of Fabrication (ECOF). Conduct Tests on Serviced, Repaired and Overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency before returning to customer. Understands the automotive repair shop equipment and functions in order to provide assistance and coverage whenever needed. Perform technical research and ensure operational readiness of assigned equipment.
Qualifications
8+ years experience performing maintenance services and overhaul of Combat Tactical Engineering, Power Generation and Ancillary Support equipment at the Mechanic or Inspector level. 2+ years of experience as a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technician; or a combination of formal training and experience totaling 2 years as a HVAC Technician; or have completed the Residential and Light Commercial Industry Competency Exams (ICE) and the EPA 608 (Type 1 and 2) & 609 certifications.
Certifications /Education
High school graduate or equivalent. Formal training (completion of MOS 91C, D, J or L course conducted under the auspices of the USA Ordnance School) is mandatory or meet verifiable civilian acquired skills criteria. HVAC Technician Certification or have completed the Residential and Light Commercial Industry Competency Exams (ICE) and the EPA 608 (Type 1 and 2) & 609 certifications. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications in the automotive maintenance area preferred. Must be able to obtain Kuwait Heavy Drivers License.
