Assistant Fire Chief (Training)
Responsible for providing assistance to the designated Fire Chief in the overall management, training, administration, and supervision of the Fire Department and is in immediate charge of fire suppression activities, both crash and structural, on an assigned shift. Ensures assigned personnel are well trained and equipment is well maintained. Works under the broad supervision of the Fire Chief and is accountable for discipline and efficiency of the personnel assigned and for the condition of quarters, apparatus, and equipment. Interpret directives, procedures, and manuals for that purpose.
Qualifications
Three years of experience as a principle Supervisor in an operation the size and scope similar to that of the LOGCAP. Two years experience with an organized fire department and minimum of one year experience with aircraft crash and rescue duties.
Certifications /Education
Bachelors degree DoD Fire Officer 3 (minimum) Certification required, Fire Officer 4 preferred.
